The Origin of Absinthe in Switzerland. More specifically, in the Val-de-Travers. There was Absinthe from the late 18th Century industrially manufactured.

In 1769 appeared in the Swiss Canton of Neuchâtel / Neuchâtel a newspaper ad for the elixir of "Bon Extrait d'Absinthe" advertised. Hid behind a creation of the two sisters Henriod, located in the Val de Travers, from alcohol, wormwood, anise and other herbs an invigorating panacea had brewed.

1910 was the "Fee Verte" in Switzerland for the Prohibition of the victims. In the year 2001, in Switzerland, the legal situation somewhat.
